Booking an appointment

At the time of booking your appointment, you will be required to provide your first and last name, and a mobile number. This is in order to send you confirmation and reminder texts and to process a deposit if applicable. PaulDavid Salon is a small local business, that only has a limited number of appointments available. Having this in mind, the deposit based booking is the fairest way to assure a spot with us. This means, to secure your booking (any long-length or extension service) a deposit is needed. The sum will be added to your bill, becoming a deposit for your booked appointment. If you provide a notice at least 72 hours before the appointment, the deposit fee will be refunded. In case of cancellation or late notice rescheduling, this fee will be forfeited as a no-show fee.

The deposit fees are as follows:

  • $50 For any long-length service

  • 50% cost of hair extensions For any hair extension services

The deposit may be paid by Credit Card online through our mobile text service or Credit Card or Cash at the salon, and is held against your booking as a credit towards that appointment.

confirming appointments, cancelling or rescheduling

Your appointments are reserved especially for you, so we ask that you give your stylist at least 72 hours notice when rescheduling or cancelling an appointment so that we can fill your spot. Please be courteous and respectful and call us promptly if you are unable to attend an appointment.
As a courtesy, the PaulDavid Salon booking system will text you 3 days prior to your appointment to confirm and a reminder of the date and time 24 hours before your appointment. We ask that you click the link in the confirmation text to confirm your appointment; if at that time you need to cancel or reschedule, please call or message the salon. If the appointment doesn’t get confirmed we will send a courtesy reminder in a text. In case we cannot reach you, we reserve the right to cancel your appointment and/or book another client instead.
If you cancel with late notice or simply do not show up at all, it impacts on us significantly and may cause inconveniences to many other clients that have been turned away because we were fully booked.
For your convenience, PaulDavid Salon has VoiceMail services outside salon hours so you can call anytime or send us a message.

Personal hygiene

In consideration of our clientele, where our trained consultants detect hair lice, their eggs or any other parasitic insect, we reserve the right to immediately stop serving the customer concerned, requesting instead that they seek formal medical help. Payment is mandatory at the time of the visit to include all products used and is based on our cancellation policy where time is reserved in good faith by our salon.

CHILD safety policy

Our concerns are for the safety of your children.

We understand how challenging it is finding time to spend for yourself. We also understand that this does not always align with your hair appointments. However, our policy strictly prohibits unsupervised children in the salon. In the event you must bring a young child into the salon, please provide proper supervision for them in the form of an additional caretaker. Unfortunately the salon cannot provide childcare services. Also, young children in carriers/strollers may not be placed near the service areas or held in the lap.

We kindly request ONLY those receiving services be present in the service areas. Older children, (12+) capable of sitting quietly and unsupervised, may wait in the provided seating area. While this policy helps ensure that all guests enjoy a relaxing salon experience, it was created with your child’s safety in mind.

Our salon is not child-proof. Sharp instruments, hot styling tools, chemicals and a busy, congested area make for a potentially dangerous environment for young children. PaulDavid Salon stylists and staff are dedicated to providing each of our guests with the highest level of services possible.

We greatly appreciate your compliance with our child safety policy.
